Welcome to DeGate July 2022 Ecosystem Update!
DeGate is Limit Orders, Decentralized on Ethereum. DeGate protocol allows you to do spot limit order trading with all the benefits of trading on a DEX. Zero-Knowledge rollups and Efficient Gas Saving Technology make trading on the DeGate DEX protocol high-speed and efficient.
DeGate DEX protocol enables permissionless token listing, which means anyone can list a token by adding the smart contract address. Expect a solid selection of tokens to trade and liquidity mining programmes.
DeGate is built on principles of permissionless, trustlessness and decentralization. DeGate is launching on the Ethereum mainnet first and aligns with the values of Ethereum, while remaining chain agnostic.
Product and Tech Update

DeGate DEX protocol is preparing for the Mainnet beta launch and is continuously improving. In July, the protocol has been updated with the following features:
- On-chain cancellation of grid trading strategy is now possible
- Grid trading visualization has been enhanced with a graphic view of running strategy to check buy and sell orders, as well as the ability to view recent trades with “K-line” view
- WalletConnect is now supported
- The user interface of DeGate DEX protocol has been improved, specifically, the functions of permissionless listing, depositing funds and selecting pairs to trade
- Chaos testing has been started to increase reliability and resiliency
DeGate DEX protocol has been running on Testnet on the Ethereum Rinkeby network since April 2022. As the preparations for the Mainnet launch accelerate, DeGate DEX will be migrating to the Ethereum Goerli network from the second week of August 2022.

ZK Trusted Setup Ceremony
DeGate DEX is a protocol powered by Zero Knowledge technology. In order for the protocol to be truly trustless and decentralized, ZK Trusted Setup Ceremony must be completed at the start of the initialization of the protocol. The core idea is that out of the individual participants in this trusted setup ceremony, only one needs to be honest for the entire ZK rollup to be trustless. We are working with independent and respected members on this tedious but very important step, taking reference from important work done by the Ethereum Foundation. The trusted setup testing solution is almost done at this stage, and the ceremony will be conducted soon.

DeGate was proud to sponsor the the ETH Barcelona event in Barcelona, Spain in July 2022. ETH Barcelona positioned itself as the first ever regen and impact-focused ETH conference. The talks and workshops concerned the importance of regenerating the world with decentralized finance, #ReFi, public goods and Ethereum, DAOs and social impact.
DeGate evangelists Agne Linge and Andrew Gan proudly presented DeGate DEX protocol testnet to the ETH Barcelona attendees. The feedback about the product has been great!
