Welcome to DeGate February 2023 Ecosystem Update!
DeGate allows you to Trade easy, Sleep easy. DeGate protocol allows you to do spot limit order trading with all the benefits of trading on a DEX. Zero-Knowledge rollup and Efficient Gas Saving Technology make trading on the DeGate DEX protocol high-speed and efficient.
DeGate DEX protocol enables permissionless token listing, which means anyone can list a token by adding the smart contract address. Expect a solid selection of tokens to trade and liquidity mining programmes.
DeGate is built on guiding principles of “permissionless, trustless and decentralized”. DeGate decentralized exchange allows you to trade with a similar experience to a centralized exchange, except that you are in full custody of your funds.
Product and Tech Update
In February, the tech team at DeGate focused on improving the product, making it more efficient and user-friendly. They implemented over 30 UX improvements on the DeGate DEX. Users can now see the history records of deposit, withdrawal, and transfer, including the status of completion by ZK Rollup. Additionally, the Ledger wallet connection now supports the Firefox browser.
DeGate takes security very seriously and pays strong attention to all security features. Last month, the external audit process to ensure security on the Smart Contract/Circuit was finished. The tech team also implemented a frontend secure isolation solution, and system availability has been improved.
The research work for DeGate 1.0 has mostly been completed. Currently, the DeGate research team is concentrating on enhancing gas efficiency for DeGate 2.0. The design of DeGate 2.0 will depend significantly on EIP 4844, so they are closely monitoring its development.
DeGate Trustlessness
Trustlessness is an important feature of DeGate decentralized trading protocol. DeGate trustlessness lets you Trade easy, Sleep easy. What does trustlessness mean? It means that:
- Your money is safe. No one can steal it.
- Your account balance is correct. The system cannot mess it up
- You can withdraw the money whenever you want

DeGate Bug Bounty and ZK Trusted Setup
DeGate team is excited to move on to the next phase and get closer to the launch!
The external audit has been completed, and DeGate is soon announcing the bug bounty programme. Stay tuned on DeGate socials for the announcement!
In preparation for DeGate deployment process for its Mainnet Beta, further steps will be taken. As DeGate is a ZK-rollup system, a ZK-Proof trusted setup ceremony is required.
We have officially announced the start of DeGate ZKP trusted setup ceremony on DeGate Twitter, which is an important step for deploying a ZK-rollup system.

Community
DeGate Content Contest
DeGate Content Contest was announced during DeGate End-of-Year AMA in December 2022. The contest invited participants to create a written review, Twitter thread, or YouTube video about DeGate and post it on Twitter. In total, 15 content submissions were received for the contest, which included three YouTube videos, 11 Medium/Mirror articles, and two Twitter threads. Shout out to the winner of DeGate Content Contest, Crypto Deni!
In parallel, DeGate also ran a community engagement activity in collaboration with Taskon and Quest3. The community members were asked to complete a few simple steps to participate in a lucky draw and win prizes. These steps included following DeGate on Twitter, and tagging three friends. Congratulations to all the lucky winners, and a big shoutout to everyone who participated!
Influencer YouTube Video Contest
In February, DeGate announced the Influencer YouTube Video Contest. We invite all content creators and influencers who have more than 1,000 followers on YouTube to create video reviews about DeGate. Submissions in all languages are welcome! The contest lasts till the 31st of March.
